The season of Passover marks a powerful annual moment of transformation — a time dedicated to freedom from what no longer serves us, and freedom to take on new growth and identity. Join Center for Small Town Jewish Life rabbinical student apprentice Aviva Herr- Welber for a dive into ancient Jewish texts that frame two Pesach rituals: the burning of chametz (fermented grain) and immersion in water (mikveh). We’ll explore the role these cleansing rituals played in our Israelite ancestors’ yearly cycle, and consider how the same practices might invite each of us into release and renewal as the festival approaches. RSVPs encouraged to info@adasyoshuron.org.
