As part of a statewide observance and celebration of Yom Ha’atzmaut and Yom HaZikaron, the Jewish Community Alliance of Southern Maine is bringing Keren Borovsky Oren and Harel Oren, survivors of the October 7, 2023 terror attacks, to Maine, and they will join us this weekend at Adas Yoshuron.

As residents of Kibbutz Re’im, located just a few miles from the Gaza border, Keren and Harel's lives were upended when Hamas launched a brutal attack on their kibbutz and their home. Keren and Harel will be in Rockland on Sunday, May 4. Harel Oren, head of security for Kibbutz Re’im, played a critical role in defending the kibbutz on October 7.
